Our ceremony and reception will both be held at the historic Landis Valley Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The ceremony will be held in either the courtyard or the Old Firehouse, depending on the weather. The reception (aka the food, drink, dance, and merriment portion) will be held in and around the Big Yellow Barn.
A little history: Landis Valley is a living history village and farm that showcasts the history and culture of the Pennsylvania German rural community from 1740 to 1940. It was opened in 1925 by brothers Henry Kinzer Landis and George Diller Landis, who lived on the property. Before that, it had been an authentic Pennsylvania German settlement since the mid-1800s. Today, the museum emcompasses over 100 acres and contains many historic buildings, from a blacksmith shop and a saloon to a school and a working horse stable. The property is beautiful and there is a ton to see!
